About the event

Ladies, let’s get real. Aging gracefully sounds good, but is that really how it happens? No one talks about night sweats, uncontrollable emotional tides, feelings of loss as your role changes through time, all while a new version of your body takes shape. Join this intimate community-focused group to discuss what aging really feels like.

The group meets bi-weekly on Tuesdays 6:30-8pm in-studio at Newtown Wellness Collective in Sandy Hook, CT. Registration includes all 6 meetings as the group fosters trust, vulnerability, sharing and compassion.

Focusing on physical, emotional and mental shifts through aging, themes over the group sessions will include:

  • The Beauty of Aging - Explore & Celebrate all Your Uniqueness as You Develop Grace in Growing Older
  • Supporting Your Changing Body – The New Roles of Diet and Exercise
  • How To Embrace Aging - Focus On and Honor You! Learn to Cope with Change, Find Meaning and Joy, Stay Connected
  • It’s All About the Selfs - Self Love, Compassion, Respect, Resilience, Reliance and Shifting Your Mindset
  • Emotions Are Information - Acknowledging and Owning Your Emotions Because You are Stronger and More Resilient Than You Realize
  • Coming Home - Aging is Wisdom, Reverence, Time for Quiet, Deep Reflection and Comfort Within

Meet your group leaders:

Tracy Mignone - Co-leading this group is an honor! I love for you to take this time as an opportunity to explore and re-claim yourselves (mind, body, spirit) and become comfortable in your own skin. Growing older represents a beautiful journey and the opportunity to share profound wisdom from your lived experiences.  Tracy is an Interfaith/Interspiritual Minister, Reiki Master Teacher, Energy worker, etc. but mostly is a woman who wishes to support women as they move into a new and exciting time of their lives! Cheers!!

Jen Rizza - Co-leading this group is important to me as I want women to know they have support through their journeys into menopause and mid-life changes.  When guiding personal development groups, I always meet clients where they are, holding space to explore underlying beliefs in order to shift mindset into exploration and possibility.  Jen is certified with the International Association of Health Coaches for Integrative Wellness Coaching, is registered with Yoga Alliance as a certified RYT-200 instructor and has attained her Reiki Master attunements.

Each meeting will include a physical grounding and centering into Self, guided discussion, time for personal reflection and activation for shifting into a stronger, more resilient and supported mindset.

This is a sacred space for self-discovery where all participants are encouraged to practice vulnerability, hold space for others and their unique experiences and meet oneself and others with whole acceptance and without judgement.

Please review and acknowledge group agreements prior to registration.
